Day 7: Christmas Day

Tree, presents, cups of coffee, tea and breakfast. Thoughts of friends and family sneak into our morning wondering what everyone is doing and how they are celebrating. 

Merry Christmas everyone. 

Bianca booked Christmas Lunch at Hanoi Taco bar. Settled on the outskirts of the Old Quarter. Burritos, Nachos, Margaritas, beers and family time while we watch business as usual in bustling Hanoi. Games of UNO played. Wandering the markets the family is confronted by fish, duck, frogs, eels and red meat being prepared, all alive and in front of us (check out some photos on link). Sporting my new T shirt we head off in search of an Ice Rink to treat the kids on Christmas Day, several taxis, lots of walking, wrong shopping mall and Bianca body signing ice skating and us being directed to a gym/fitness club on the 8th floor, defeated we give up and play Air Hockey instead at a Games Room we found. Tired and weary we head home to the safety of our Hotel room. Not quite what we planned but that is travelling, the highs and the lows.
